Thanks to everyone in Adelboden for making our trip so memorable. Despite our outward travel problems we still managed to fit all our planned activities in although we were completely exhausted by our return. We are all ready looking to arrange an other trip in the not too distant future
We’d like to say an enormous thank you to you all for our amazing trip to Adelboden. The sun shone, the girls behaved themselves, the mountains were stunning and Shaun, Brenda, Ben and Claire did a fantastic job of looking after us all. Thank you.
It was our very first international trip and Jeka made it so easy - you were always there to answer my queries and put my mind at ease.
Our driver, Steve, was lovely - a true gentlemen who went out of his way to make sure the journey was as smooth as possible.
I feel very honoured to have shown our Guides a different corner of Europe - none of us had been to Switzerland before and we’re already planning our next trip - Croatia in 2019 - with Jeka :-)
Thank you again and I hope you enjoy a well deserved break once the season has calmed down.
Many, many thanks,
Helen, Jane, Nicola, Lisa and 3rd Knaphill Guides and one 2nd Knaphill Brownie
We hope all our groups have a fantastic time this summer, whichever destination they have chosen for their 2017 adventure! Please use this message board to let others know how much fun there is to be had on a Jeka Summer Camp ..
Well what an adventure we have had in Adelboden . We would like to thank all the jeka staff in resort and back in the uk for giving us the experience of a lifetime .
Starting with Nicola who always is a pleasure to deal with in the uk and accommodates any request . The program that was delivered was tailored to our needs and showed us exactly what we needed to see.
The bus drivers Jo and Ned always had safety in mind and were very entertaining .
Jane and Shawn in resort always strived to sort out any problems , one day the weather was poor so the program was adjusted to suit another activity.
We trailed a number of activities with a view to bringing our group back to Switzerland .
We are now well informed and feel we can give parents and leaders all the information they need .
The whole trip was a fantastic success. The organizing was made so easy for us by Nicola in the office, answering all our questions and advising us the best way to do things. We travelled with a mixed group of Scouts and Explorers. We flew from Stansted on July 29th to Trieste. Only a couple of hrs flight. We then transferred to our house in Pula by coach which was just another couple of hrs away. Crossing the borders was easy Italy to Slovenia, no checks, Slovenia to Croatia only took note of 1 Adults passport. Quick and Easy. We stayed at House Borik. There were 30 of us in the group and the house was plenty big enough with rooms to suit all. The food was plentiful and regularly stocked up by the staff in Croatia and Tom our rep out there was spot on and very helpful. The activities we did, sea kayaking, fish picnic cruise, horse riding, water park, snorkelling cruise, trip to the Beridine Caves, evening sunset cruise, the town of Rovinj and Porec were all fantastic. The activity instructors were all very qualified and all spoke good English. Any spare time was spent at the local beach which was about 500 yards away. All in all Croatia is a beautiful country, the people are very friendly and helpful, it's easy to change money out there. We flew home from Pula 10 days later, the airport only 20 mins away from the house. Tom was there to see us off which was another nice final gesture. We would highly recommend a trip to Croatia. We will definately be going back.
